PAWING IT FORWARD IS A 501(c)(3) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO RESCUE AND PROVIDE REHABILITATIVE CARE TO HOMELESS, STRAY, ABUSED, NEGLECTED, ELDERLY, AND DISABLED ANIMALS AND PLACE THEM INTO PERMANENT, RESPONSIBLE, SAFE, STABLE, LOVING HOMES. WE PROVIDE SUPPORT TO ANIMAL RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS WHO ENGAGE IN THIS EFFORT, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, VACCINATIONS, SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES, FOOD, SUPPLIES, AND FUNDRAISING. WE ALSO EXTEND SUPPORT TO ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED INDIVIDUAL ANIMAL OWNERS AND CAREGIVERS IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE LIVES OF BOTH THE ANIMALS AND THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THEM, HELPING ALL TO THRIVE.
OUR EFFORTS ARE CONCENTRATED PREDOMINANTLY IN CALIFORNIA; BAJA CALIFORNIA, MEXICO; BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR, MEXICO; MINNESOTA; AND ON NATIVE AMERICAN RESERVATIONS IN SOUTH DAKOTA.
Born in North Dakota with a lifelong passion for helping both animals and people who live in disadvantaged circumstances and are in need of a hand up, I founded Pawing It Forward with the objective of improving the lives of animals as well as the people who love them.
In my young adult life, I almost applied to veterinary school as it was my dream to work and spend time with animals; however my concern for the emotional toll losing animals would take on my heart eventually brought me to a very divergent career path.
Since then ~ having owned 9 cats and 11 dogs; having fostered many adult cats and kittens and having trapped and found loving, permanent homes for many more; having privately supported individuals, animal shelters, and 501(c)(3) animal welfare/rescue organizations as well as numerous 501(c)(3) organizations for children and adults; I finally decided to make my dream come true, just in a different way.
It's my goal that through Pawing It Forward, we can help save the lives of countless stray, abused, neglected, elderly, and disabled dogs and cats and brighten the lives of pet owners in economically disadvantaged communities, giving them the dignity and hope they deserve.
When not working for my public relations/marketing company, I enjoy working out, hiking with my German Shepherd Dakota, interior design and decor, fashion, sewing, playing the piano, dancing, and having fun with my family and friends.

A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Christopher's love of animals has spanned his entire life, having owned many cats and dogs, mostly mutts with a sprinkling of Boston Terriers. While society has often valued designer or purebred dogs as symbols of status, Christopher has always had a soft spot for the underdogs and the forgotten animals cowering in fear and shutdown in the back of shelter kennel.
When he is not working at his full-time career in sports television, Christopher enjoys weight lifting, running, reading non-fiction books, and spending vacation time at his beach home off the Delaware coast.
